How to calculate fuel consumption?
Average fuel consumption is litres used / distance × 100. The cost is the fuel amount times the price. You also see the cost per 100 km and per kilometre.
How it is calculated
Formula
consumption (l/100 km) = fuel (l) ÷ distance (km) × 100; cost = fuel × price; €/100 km = cost ÷ km × 100.
Example
600 km, 36 l, 1.80 €/l → 6 l/100 km, 64.80 €, 10.80 €/100 km.
