How to calculate a discount?
Discount amount = price × discount% / 100. Final price = price − discount amount. For example, a 100 € item with a 20% discount costs 80 €, a saving of 20 €.

Example
Price 80 €, discount 25% → saved 20 €, final price 60 €.
