Which family allowances exist in Estonia?
The child allowance is paid for every child from birth until age 19 (if studying): 80 € per month for the first and second child and 100 € from the third child. Families with three or more children also get the large-family allowance: 450 € per month with 3-6 children and 650 € with 7 or more. The single-parent child allowance is 80 € per month for a child with no father on the birth record. Family allowances are tax-free and granted automatically by the Social Insurance Board after the birth is registered.
